Where slow cooking meets big flavor

About The recipes you’ll find here on Cook It Slowly are born from my love of simple, soulful meals that bring people together. I grew up in a household of eight, where dinner meant juggling oven racks and stovetop burners just to feed my hungry siblings at the same time. Between school activities and after-school clubs, mealtime felt more like a race than a celebration until I discovered the magic of the slow cooker.
How Slow Cooking Changed Everything
In college, I fell head over heels for that “set it and forget it” approach: tossing in fresh ingredients before rushing out the door, then coming home hours later to a kitchen filled with warm, comforting aromas and a ready-to-serve meal. I began photographing each dish in my tiny apartment kitchen, tweaking flavors and testing new combinations until every recipe was as effortless as it was delicious. And just like that, Cook It Slowly was born.

Cooking Today, with Heart and Intention
Today, I live in a cozy farmhouse kitchen filled with natural light and the hum of my favorite slow cooker in the background. When I’m not experimenting with savory stews or tender pulled meats, you’ll find me curled up with a cup of tea, planning tomorrow’s recipe adventures. My hope is to share the joy of slow-cooked cooking, inspire you to try something new, and prove that great food doesn’t have to be complicated because good things truly do take their time.
Welcome to Cook It Slowly. Let’s slow down, cook with intention, and savor every bite together!
