Where Slow Cooking Meets Big Flavor

Hi, I’m Myriam Michon-Mourard, the recipe creator and food enthusiast behind Cook It Slowly.

Alongside my studies in accounting and management, cooking has become one of my favorite ways to slow down, be creative, and enjoy simple moments in everyday life.

I created Cook It Slowly to share approachable recipes that make home cooking feel easier and more enjoyable. From comforting slow-cooked meals to easy dinners, cozy soups, simple breakfasts, and homemade favorites, my goal is to help you prepare delicious food without making things complicated.

How Cook It Slowly Started

Life as a student can get busy quickly. Between classes, studying, projects, and everyday responsibilities, spending hours in the kitchen isn’t always realistic.

That’s one of the reasons I became interested in recipes that are simple, practical, and easy to fit into a busy schedule.

Slow cooking especially caught my attention because it allows everyday ingredients to develop rich, comforting flavors with less hands-on time. But Cook It Slowly isn’t only about the slow cooker. I also enjoy discovering and sharing easy recipes that can make breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert a little more enjoyable.

Over time, experimenting with different ingredients and recipe ideas became something I genuinely loved, and Cook It Slowly became the place where I could share that passion with others.

Simple Recipes Made for Real Life

The recipes you’ll find on Cook It Slowly are created with everyday home cooks in mind.

I love recipes that use familiar ingredients, clear instructions, and straightforward cooking methods. Whether it’s a cozy chili simmering on the stove, an easy one-pan dinner, a make-ahead breakfast, or a comforting slow-cooker meal, I want each recipe to feel approachable and worth making again.

My goal is simple: to share recipes that bring plenty of flavor to the table without adding unnecessary stress to your day.

Cooking, Learning, and Sharing Along the Way

For me, cooking is also about learning. I’m always interested in trying new combinations, improving recipes, and discovering easier ways to create meals that people can genuinely enjoy at home.

Cook It Slowly gives me a space to combine that curiosity with my love of sharing food and helping others find new recipes to try.

Outside the kitchen, I continue my studies in accounting and management and enjoy developing new skills along the way.
